Ellen Feig, Esq.

Ellen Feig, Esq., is a tenured Professor of English with over twenty years of experience in higher education in curriculum and course design, as well as in composition, literature, media, and pedagogy. She has a B.A. from Smith College, a J.D. from New York Law School, an M.F.A. in creative writing, an M.A. in educational technology, and has completed post doctorate work in public policy and leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School. At Bergen Community College, where she has taught composition, literature, and creative writing since 2008, she has launched and co-directed interdisciplinary collaborations in the areas of peacebuilding, justice, and reconciliation, and is responsible for all Holocaust related programming.

Feig is founder of TEDxBergenCommunityCollege and Get Boxed, Inc., a nonprofit that provides college readiness programs for incarcerated women. Fellowships and grants supporting her work have included those from the Wye Center/Aspen Institute, the Center for Peace, Justice and Reconciliation (three-time grant recipient), and the Academic Engagement Network. She was awarded the Philanthropy Institute Award in 2008 for her work in philanthropy and public policy.

Her scholarly and public work focuses on such topics as antisemitism, antizionism, and digital media, on storytelling and narrative-based approaches, and on the impact of media narratives and education on public opinion, public discourse, and public policy.

Feig is a recipient of the 2026 ISGAP Faculty Fellowship Training Program: Combatting Holocaust Distortion and Global Antisemitism.
