Akaya Kitchen is an academic leader and educator with a strong record of scholarship and teaching. She holds a Doctor of Ministry from The King’s University and a Master of Arts in Applied Communication from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she has also taught undergraduate courses in communication. Her research has been recognized with awards, including the Distinguished Student Scholar Award and Best Graduate Research Award. Akaya served as an ISGAP Oxford Scholar-in-Residence in 2024. She brings practical academic leadership experience from her role as Director of Academic Affairs at Agape College, and she currently teaches undergraduate communication courses online. Her teaching portfolio includes Introduction to Communication, Leadership Communication, and Culture and Conflict Management, and she has developed curriculum and presented research at regional and international symposia.
