Or Arthur Honig is currently an Israel Institute Visiting fellow at the University of Florida’s Budd Shorstein Center for Jewish Studies, as well as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Florida’s Violence Conflict and Security Lab. He received his PhD in Political Science from UCLA and did his masters and BA at the Hebrew University and Haifa University respectively. He has published approximately 25 articles in international refereed journals on various International Relations topics. These topics included, among others: Israel’s security and foreign policy, Terrorism and counterterrorism, radical forces in the Middle East, government and opposition relations in the Middle East, the propaganda of dictators and terrorists, and finally American foreign policy. He has taught and held fellowships at numerous universities including Duke University, Tel Aviv University, University of Calgary, Tokyo International University and Hampden Sydney College. He is currently researching Islamist movements in Africa and South Asia. He was born in Israel but grew up also in the UK.
