Jana Lo Bello Miller is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where she teaches elementary preservice teachers. Her teaching aligns with her scholarly interests around equity-based practices in teacher preparation, climate literacies, and writing pedagogies. In her roles as the C&I Director of Initial and Additional Licensure Programs and Elementary Licensure Program Lead, Dr. Lo Bello Miller works with colleagues around inclusive teacher preparation curricula, including Jewish inclusion and understandings of antisemitism. Dr. Lo Bello Miller was a 2023-2024 George Washington University Antisemitism and Jewish Identity in Educational Settings Fellow, and she continues to mentor incoming cohorts. Aligned with her work, Dr. Lo Bello Miller was awarded the 2025 Shine a Light on Antisemitism Civic Courage, powered by The Jewish Education Project. Most recently, she is part of an interdisciplinary Jewish Youth Research Collective with the goal to bring scholars from different disciplines to build collective capacity to conduct and share impactful K-12 research in support of Jewish youth. Her future research focuses on the impact of Jewish inclusion in teacher preparation.
