Catherine (Katie) Posey, Ph.D. is a doctoral student in Antisemitism Studies at Gratz College and also holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from The Pennsylvania State University with an emphasis in Children’s Literature. She is the founder of Ourstory Connections, a Northern California non-profit dedicated to Holocaust education and antisemitism prevention through education and interfaith engagement.
Her research focuses on the mechanisms through which Holocaust distortion and antisemitism circulate in Christian communities, through supersessionist theology, social media, and digital gaming ecosystems, and on the development of faith-based counter-intervention curriculum for Christian churches, colleges, and community organizations. Her current research includes a quantitative survey study examining how digital media consumption and theological orientation shape antisemitic attitudes among Christian men ages 18–30. Posey is also developing a qualitative longitudinal study evaluating attitudinal change among Christian participants in her nine-session Living the Story online curriculum. The latter study is grounded within a framework she developed which engages a theological paradigm for Christian moral awakening and solidarity with the Jewish people.
A Postgraduate Fellow with the London Centre for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism, Posey has participated in Holocaust education seminars at Yad Vashem and has authored and co-authored Holocaust remembrance resolutions for civic bodies in Butte County, California. Her work sits at the intersection of scholarly research, curriculum development, and community advocacy.
