Gunther Jikeli is the Erna B. Rosenfeld Associate Professor for the Study of Antisemitism and Associate Director of the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Antisemitism (ISCA) at Indiana University Bloomington. His research combines computational and qualitative methods to examine antisemitism and hate speech in digital environments.
He is the author of Antisemitism among Muslims in Europe (2015) and has published widely on online extremism and Holocaust distortion, including an ISCA report on antisemitic mobilization following October 7, 2023. He leads the Social Media and Hate Research Lab at IU and developed the AnnotHate annotation portal for collaborative labeling of hate speech data. He is currently completing a manuscript on antisemitism among Syrian refugees in Germany.
Dr. Jikeli is a recipient of the 2026 ISGAP Faculty Fellowship Training Program: Combatting Holocaust Distortion and Global Antisemitism.
