Abderrahim Chhaibi is a trainer of educators on educational psychology and pedagogy at the Regional Center for Education and Teaching Jobs (Centre régional des métiers de l’éducation et de la formation) at Agadir, South of Morocco. He is also a researcher in Education and methods of teaching at CRMEF and PhD candidate at University Med V in Rabat, his areas of focus are teaching of religious facts and methods of teaching of History. He interested also in religious and Islamic Antisemitism and the ways to integrate the Holocaust into The Moroccan educational system in order to improve student’s critical thinking about past and present conflicts.
Abderrahim, participated in Several Seminars and Activities about the Holocaust Education and Contemporary Antisemitism: International Educators Institute at USHMM 2011, Holocaust Education and Genocide Prevention – Sharing Experiences Across Borders at Salzburg Global seminars 2014, the 5th Global Forum for Combating Antisemitism organized by Israel Ministry of foreign affairs, Jerusalem/Israel 2015, ISGAP-Oxford Summer Institute for Curriculum Development in Critical Antisemitism Studies 2015 and 2020 (online), Countries Projects about Holocaust teaching at USHMM 2015, training session about Holocaust education at Yad Vashem 2017.
Apart from his Academic interests, Chhaibi is also a civil activist defending multiculturalism inside Moroccan society, Combating Antisemitism and advocating the teaching of Moroccan Jewish heritage and History to all Moroccan Pupils. He wrote many Articles in different Moroccan newspapers advocating for the teaching of the Holocaust on a national scale.
