Luis Fleischman has a Ph.D. in Sociology from the New School for Social Research in New York City, an M.A. degree from the New School, and a B.A. in Political Science and Labor Studies from Tel Aviv University.
Dr. Fleischman has worked for more than two decades for the Jewish Federations of Palm Beach County and Central New Jersey as Executive Director for Community and Political Relations. In that capacity, he has worked intensively on issues related to the Middle East and national security, serving as a liaison between these organizations and members of Congress, foreign consuls, the media and the local community at large.
Dr. Fleischman has also worked as senior advisor for the Menges Hemispheric Security Project at the Center for Security Policy. The focus of Dr. Fleischman’s work at the CSP was on monitoring Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez and his allies, their connections to radical groups, the expansion of Chavez’s ideas across the continent and the rise of anti-democratic forces in the region.
Dr. Fleischman is also an Adjunct Professor of Sociology and Political Science at Florida Atlantic University Honors College and FAU Lifelong Learning Society.
