Dr. Nechama Tec is a survivor of the Holocaust thanks to her life being saved by Polish Catholics. After the war she immigrated to Israel and later moved to the United States. Dr. Tec is now a Professor Emerita of Sociology at the University of Connecticut. She received her Ph.D. in sociology and her Doctorate at Columbia University. She is also a Holocaust scholar and sits on the International Academic Board of Advisors for ISGAP, the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy. Two of her books received the Merit of Distinction Award from the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rit.
