ISGAP applauds YouTube’s decision to remove the Nation of Islam’s (NOI) YouTube channel from its platform. YouTube cited its policies against hate speech in explaining this landmark decision. According to the Southern Poverty Law Center and the American Defamation League, the Nation of Islam and Louis Farrakhan in particular, are among the most active and dangerous purveyors of antisemitism in the United States.

In a time of increased fragmentation, extremism, racism, and xenophobia from the radical left and right, as well as in mainstream discourse, this decision by YouTube to stop the spread of hate and incitement is encouraging.
ISGAP’s recent video, A Dangerous Beat: Farrakhan, Hip Hop and Hate, offers insight into the influence of the NOI’s antisemitism and influence in popular culture. ISGAP is committed to countering all forms of hate, and will continue to call upon leaders, and social media platforms to disassociate themselves from antisemitism, hate and incitement.
