Nora Gold received her PhD in Social Work from University of Toronto, and is currently an Associate Scholar in the Centre for Women’s Studies in Education (CWSE) at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto (OISE/UT). In addition to her academic work on antisemitism, Gold is an activist. Two years ago she started a progressive Zionist organization, JSpaceCanada, created to challenge the anti-Israel left in this country. Gold is also a fiction author whose book, Marrow and Other Stories, won one of the Canadian Jewish Book Awards. Recently she completed a novel, Fields of Exile, which is about anti-Israelism and antisemitism in the Canadian academe. Gold is also the founder and editor of Jewish Fiction .net, a prestigious online journal of Jewish fiction (www.jewishfiction.net). Gold’s website is www.noragold.com.
