William Kolbrener joins the ISGAP team as Director of Academic Development. Kolbrener is professor of English Literature at Bar Ilan University in Israel. Trained at Columbia and Oxford universities, Kolbrener has written scholarly books on the author of Paradise Lost, John Milton, the 18th century proto-feminist, Mary Astell, and Rabbi Joseph Soloveitchik. He has also written extensively on the genealogy of antisemitism in the woke academy. Of his new role, Kolbrener writes, ‘ISGAP already has distinguished itself through its outstanding academic programming – with its publications of books and research papers, as well as lecture series, and its annual academic conferences at Oxford and Cambridge. Now more than ever, ISGAP’s scholarly network must meet the task of creating comprehensive and interdisciplinary frameworks for the study of antisemitism. ISGAP has an amazing lineup of early and later career scholars, graduate students, and undergrads. I am thrilled to be part of the team.’
